Remove selected highlights, not the page text
A PDF highlight is an annotation placed over page content. This remover deletes selected Highlight annotation objects and validates the cleaned PDF, while the underlying document text remains untouched. Quick Remove is broader: it clears all supported annotations. When you want to preserve notes, underlines, or other markings, choose Customize Removal and filter for Highlight first.

What happens to other annotations
Customized removal can delete selected Highlight annotations while preserving supported annotations you did not choose. The final removal plan automatically includes related reply and popup objects when they must be removed together, so it does not leave new orphan popups. Unsupported annotation types remain excluded from V1 removal.
